Summary

WriteHuman collects zero personal data. No data is ever sent to any external server. Everything runs locally inside your browser.

What data do we collect?

None. WriteHuman does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information, browsing history, email content, or any other user data.

How does the extension work?

When you select text on a webpage and use WriteHuman, the selected text is processed entirely within your browser tab using local JavaScript logic. The text is never sent to any external API, server, or third party.

The optional Rewrite mode uses Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano model, which also runs 100% on-device. No data leaves your machine.

What permissions does the extension use?

• activeTab — To detect selected text on the current tab and inject the floating pill UI.
• storage — To save your usage count and custom site list locally in your browser using chrome.storage.sync. This data never leaves your Google account sync and is not accessible to us.
• scripting — To inject the extension's UI (pill, preview card) into the current webpage.

Do you share data with third parties?

No. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with any third parties.

Do you use remote code?

No. All JavaScript code is bundled within the extension package itself. No external scripts are loaded or executed.
